Bridemaids To-Do List...

Your bridesmaids are your best friends and relatives- besides being your emotional supporter and cheerleader during the planning process. What else falls under their to-do lists? Every bride and every wedding is different. So keeping that in mind, here is the basic "Bridesmaid’s To-Do List"


-Go Bridesmaid dresses shopping with the bride- but please keep in mind that the dress choice is ultimately hers
-Get measured and order your bridesmaid dress at least six to seven months before the wedding
-Host an "Invitation Stuffing Party" or a "Favor Making Party." Grab the other girls, a couple bottles of wine and make it a fun night.
-Help to plan and pay for the bachelorette party
-Along with the mom’s of the wedding, help plan and host one of the bridal showers
-Get your hair and make-up done the day of the wedding
-Attend the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner
-Dance the night away at the reception
-Make sure the bride eats the day of the wedding
-Go with the bride to her final gown fitting- so the seamstress can teach you how to bustle her gown.
-Smile through the photography sessions

As a general rule of thumb- the best thing to do is just ask the bride what she needs you to do for her.

Highlight Gown Thursday

Welcome to another installment of Highlight Gown Thursday- this week we are showcasing a new arrival- Mori Lee 2406. If you are going for the "elegant princess" look this dress is for you. She is so sophisticated and chic. The bodice is the focal point of the gown. It is a classic sweetheart neckline, which accentuates the rest of her rouched construction. Her bodice is delicately adorned with embellished lace details. Her full ball gown pick-up skirt is also highlighted with the same lace details. Hi! Welcome to another installment of "Highlight Gown Thursday" – this week we are gushing over Mori Lee 4524. This gown is extremely elegant and vintage inspired. It is reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour- Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Her wrapped bodice features a sweetheart neckline. A delicately beaded sash highlights her simple and elegant ballgown skirt. The sash is perfectly placed to accentuate the most petite part of a woman. Welcome to another installment of "Highlight Gown Thursday"- this week’s obsession is "Nadine Lee" by Maggie Sottero.

She is ultra sophisticated and modern. The thing that makes her so special is her fabrication- rich crushed satin and extremely soft angel chiffon. The two fabrics are asymmetrically wrapped together to form the bodice. The wrap is accentuated near the hip with a very elegant crystal brooch. The bodice is topped off by a modified sweetheart neckline- the most flattering neckline in most brides. Her ballgown skirt is also asymmetrically draped - to create a very chic modern look. This gown is so elegantly modern- and would be appropriate for a formal or informal affair.

Homecoming
